    Place the car's transmission in park and apply the parking brake. Turn the ignition towards the "OFF" position to kill the engine. Rotate the ignition back towards the "ON" position, but tend not to begin the engine.

    Connect the scan tool's data connector towards the vehicle's 16-pin diagnostic information port, located underneath the driver's side dashboard/footwell place. Energy on the scan tool.

    Select "ECU" from the scan tool's main menu. Choose "Codes," then select "Clear all current and stored DTC's." DTC is an abbreviation for "diagnostic trouble codes."

    Wait for the scan tool to clear the codes. The display will read "All codes cleared." Unplug the Professional diagnositic tools and get started the vehicle. Ensure that the SES light is not turned on. The ECU is now reset.

    Open the hood in the vehicle and take away the unfavorable battery cable with all the adjustable wrench.

    Locate the OBD0 plug close to the steering harness on the rear Auto diagnostic tool, driver's side on the engine compartment of the engine. Trace the wiring to the old OBD0 distributor wiring.

    Use the socket set to get rid of the distributor cap to access the distributor wiring harness

    Connect the seven-wire OBD0 distributor plug to the corresponding wires on the seven-wire OBD1 distributor plug. On the seven-wire system, the orange wire connects to the orange wire. The white wire connects to the white wire. The orange/blue wire connects for the orange/blue wire. The white/blue wire connects to white/blue wire. The blue/green wire connects to blue/green wire. The blue/yellow wire connects to the blue/yellow wire. The only nonmatching color pairing will be the white wire on the OBD0 towards the yellow/green wire on the OBD1. Cover the connections with electrical tape.

    Connect the black/yellow wire on the OBD0 plug to the matching wire on the OBD1 short distributor plug and then connect the blue plug wire towards the blur plug wire Auto diagnostics. Wrap the wire connections with electrical tape.

    Replace the distributor cap and tighten it with the socket set.

    Replace the unfavorable battery cable together with the adjustable wrench.
